  • Founder and President

    Email Adam

    Adam is a spiritual director and pastor with over three decades of experience in church and para-church ministry. He holds a Master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Spring Arbor University.

    Adam completed his Spiritual Direction training through Sustainable Faith and is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors). He is also a certified Transformational Coach.

    Adam and Rebekah live in Denver (CO) and use their home as a place to provide hospitality and soul care to those in need.

    Email Rebekah

    Rebekah earned her degree from Manhattan Christian College (KS). Over the past several decades, her strong passion for family ministry and her ability to lead others has given her the opportunity to work in several ministry contexts in the local church and beyond. Rebekah loves helping others experience union with God through the ministries of Inner Healing Prayer and Spiritual Companionship.

    Rebekah and Adam live in Denver, Colorado, and have four grown children, a son-in-law, a daughter-in-law, two granddaughters, and a little dog named Zoey.

  • Formational Mentoring Director

    Email Becky

    Becky is a writer and speaker with many years of church and parachurch ministry experience, both in rural and urban settings. Becky’s undergraduate work focused on Christian Education, and she holds a Masters degree in Christianity and Culture from Knox Theological Seminary.

    Becky writes formational resources which help Christians from many cultures pursue and protect personal sacred spaces and rhythms. She loves to facilitate groups – large or small – where people are invited to understand and enjoy deeper friendship with God.

  • Spiritual Director

    Email Christie

    In 2017, Christie received a master’s degree from Denver Seminary in Christian Formation and Soul Care. Since then she has spiritually directed missionaries—both on and off the field—as she has also served overseas, and has mentored other girls in the U.S.

    Christie is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors). In addition to providing spiritual direction, Christie works as the Communication and Media Specialist for Youth For Christ in the Denver area.

    As Christie had a traumatic brain injury in 2007 and has had to live with the aftereffects (therapy, seizures, surgeries, etc.), she has a heart to support those who are suffering—and not just physically, but in all areas of life.

    Christie prays that she might have the same mindset as Paul in Romans 5:3-5: “We rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

    Email David

    David holds a certificate in Spiritual Direction from Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction and is an Elder at Wonderful Mercy church in Gilbert, Arizona, where he is part of the preaching rotation. After a long career training, facilitating, and coaching in the technology sector, David is now focused on spiritual formation and direction. He is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors) and the Spiritual Formation Society of Arizona. David and his wife of 40 years live in Chandler, Arizona. They have three grown children and two grandchildren.

    David is called to help people know and experience the love of the Father and discern his presence and invitation in their lives. We often hide ourselves from ourselves and from God. Uncovering who we are created to be and our identities as beloved children, we are freed and empowered; the way to the Father's heart opens to us. David has taken that journey and is honored to be able to help others find their way.

    Email Janine

    Janine appreciates the depth and individualization each person brings to this world. She is interested in walking with you, as your own individual, seeking the Trinity as our guide as we explore your relationship with Jesus. Janine is passionate about life and experiencing God through different lenses. She also loves sipping her morning cup ‘o joe, noticing every shade of orange in every single thing, and making a piece of art from scraps, paint, or cut-outs so she can have a symbolic piece to hold. The slow expansive heart is what Janine offers to you. As we sit together, listening for the holy spirit’s invitations, to consider the paradoxes and contradictions of our lives (the both/and of life), we welcome transformation and a growing awareness of God.

    After over 30 years in education with a focus on behavior management and social/emotional development plus living in Mozambique, Africa, Janine has found the heart of people to be calling and aching for care and love just like her own heart. This awareness brought her to take a deep look at the second half of her life and what God was calling her to do. She had to face her own pride and how it got in the way of ministry when she was single on the mission field. Taking this deep look and listening to her internal stirrings, led her to the Soul Care Institute. Janine was committed to doing the work for her own spiritual transformation and learning the tools to provide soul care for others. She then completed  training as a spiritual director at Denver Seminary. Janine’s deepest desire is for you to know that you are seen, chosen, and the beloved. She welcomes you on this journey with her. Peace be with you today.

    Email Jim

    Jim is an ordained pastor with over forty years of ministry experience in church, education, and parachurch ministry. After undergraduate work in pastoral studies, Jim graduated with a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies from Knox Theological Seminary. He has pastored and nurtured leadership communities in five states as God honed his gifts of encouragement and exhortation based on Biblical foundations.

    Jim joins his wife, Becky, in using gifts of formational hospitality to offer environments where ministry leaders can rest in God’s presence. Jim and Becky’s family of four children has expanded to include in-laws and six grandchildren. They live in Pensacola, Florida, and consider the beach a wonderful place for respite.

    Email Lynn

    Lynn is a prayerful follower of Jesus who has encountered the faithfulness of the LORD throughout her life. She is passionate about inner healing, family formation and prayer. One of her deepest callings is creating resources for caregivers to use alongside children to encourage, encounter and experience the presence of God’s Love. Lynn holds a Master’s degree in Spiritual Formation and Leadership from Spring Arbor University. She also completed her Spiritual Direction training through Sustainable Faith in 2018 and is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors). Over the last three years she has served with Thrive Alongside offering spiritual direction to women serving globally.

    Lynn lives in Franklin, Tennessee, with her husband Brian. They have four children and are currently navigating the season where their children are leaving home, going to college and getting married. She loves being a mom and soul friend to others.

    Whether you are experiencing joy or going through a particularly hard season of grief and struggle, Lynn would cherish the opportunity to provide a safe, listening space where you can process your walk with the Lord.

    Melissa Sievers is a transformational coach and spiritual director dedicated to nurturing the care of souls. With a heart for the spiritually thoughtful, she creates safe spaces for others to experience slower rhythms and encounter the loving presence of the Trinity. She also loves guiding clients to discover their unique, God-given design, discern their next right steps, and live with clarity and confidence in their callings. 

    Passionate about helping individuals cultivate inner lives filled with peace, joy, and rest, Melissa finds deep fulfillment in companioning those seeking a more abundant life. Other key themes in her work include serving church and ministry leaders, supporting sabbaticals, pursuing discernment in vocational transitions, navigating burnout, and creating healthy life rhythms.

    Melissa holds a degree in communications from Taylor University, a coaching certification from the Coaching Transformation Academy, and a certificate in spiritual direction from Denver Seminary. She has been coaching professionally since 2014, drawing on her 15 years of previous leadership experience in various para-church ministries. In 2020, she founded her own LLC, offering transformational coaching, sabbatical coaching, and spiritual direction. Additionally, Melissa partners with Soul Care as both a coach and spiritual director and is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered spiritual directors). 

    When she’s not coaching or serving as a “soul friend,” Melissa enjoys exploring the Colorado Rocky Mountains with her husband, seeking beauty and rest through outdoor adventures and international travel—often with a camera in hand. A lover of friendships and meaningful conversation, she never turns down a good cup of tea.

    Email Ruth

    After decades of fruitful ministry in the local church, Ruth received her certificate in Spiritual Direction from the C. John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction at North Park Theological Seminary.

    Ruth continues to be amazed at how God works in her life through receiving and providing Spiritual Direction. She especially loves working with young women. As a Third Culture Adult, Ruth has experience in understanding the dynamic of growing up in a different culture and then returning to her passport country. She has experienced infertility and pregnancy loss and sits with many women who have grieved their own losses.

    As a Spiritual Director, Ruth offers a warm and inviting space for others to listen for God’s voice and feel His loving and transforming Presence. She provides Spiritual Direction in person, online, or a hybrid for those who want to meet in person and via Zoom.

    Ruth is a Certified Enneagram Coach and uses the Enneagram as a tool for self-reflection in Spiritual Direction. She is also a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors).

    Ruth is married to Dale. Together they have one son and daughter-in-love and 2 adorable granddaughters. Ruth lives in Colorado and enjoys running, biking, swimming, reading, baking, playing the piano and spending time with friends.

    Shawn is a spiritual director and pastor with 19 years of ministry experience in churches and para-church ministries. He was trained as a spiritual director through Sustainable Faith's School of Spiritual Direction and is a member of ESDA (Christ-centered Spiritual Directors). He also holds a degree in contemporary worship and Biblical Studies from Kentucky Christian University.

    Shawn, his wife Rachel, and their son live in Ypsilanti, Michigan with their dog Ronen. Shawn is interested in the intersection of spiritual formation, spiritual direction, and the arts in ministry.

Our calling.

Christ’s love compels us to care for those who care for others, cooperate with the Holy Spirit in the restoration and transformation of souls, companion those in need of a soul friend, communicate the peace of Christ to those who are weary and anxious, and commit to the fulfillment of God’s will on earth as it is done in heaven.

  • All people are made in the image of God and possess inherent dignity and worth. (Genesis 1:26-27; Psalm 8:3-8)

  • There is no limit to God’s transforming love and restoring grace. (Rom. 8:38; Eph. 2:8-9)

Our compass.

The Bible is God’s word and our authority for life. God’s invitation into intimate relationship, ongoing formation, and cruciform mission is extended to all.
